SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

Whew its been a scorcher out there the last few days, honestly I don't mind it too much, I'd rather have it hot while we are home and busy in the house than when we are camping.

About the only crafting I've been doing lately is card making and that is while we are camping.  I have run out of my back up supply so I am trying to get ahead of them.  I've been sending them out on behalf of the deacons of our church so, they diminish quickly.  I sure hope the recipients like them as much as I like making them.

Oh  I did start a taggi baby.  LOL she looks rather... "special".  Once she is done I will post a pic for you all. I also made a tooth pillow, for placing in your lost teeth for the tooth fairy, Ill post a pic of that also.

I made some pretty cool mod podge signs for in the camper.  Welcome, family Friends.  I cannot find the "&" sign anywhere yet, but still looking.

hmmm I guess I  have been crafting a bit.

At the present I am in the middle of making homemade laundry soap.  This time I am going to try backing off on one gallon of water to see if it makes the end result thicker.  I also added 1 cup of oxy clean to it.

1 bar Fels Naptha soap (grated)
12 C hot water
(boil above on the stove till soap is melted)

Put in large tub... add in
1 c Borax
1 C arm and hammer super washing soda
12 C of hot water

mix

add in
12 C hot water

Mix

add in 2 gallons of hot water and let set 12 hours to thicken or overnight.

(this is where I am backing off 1 gallon of water, Ill let you know how it goes)

Read on one of my frugal sites instead of adding liquid softener to your washer, cut up flannel pieces (apx 8x8) and place contents of your softener bottle into a covered bucket, pail, whatever you have that you can cover) and place in lots of the flannel pieces, when you toss your clothes into the dryer, wring out and add in one of the flannel pieces.  it acts like a dryer sheet.   HAVE TO try this one yet, but itll be  a bit as i just bought a new box of dryer sheets.  Hmmmmm I should save those sheets huh.

Now to find a dishwasher soap recipe.  Anyone have a good one? No spots left?

Speaking of washing clothes, my dryer just informed me its time to fold the load in there.  UGH.

Enjoy the day everyone & Happy Crafting!

BLOCKHead

Been rather busy lately, getting a bit of crafting in when I can.  I just finished a set of blocks for my daughters coworker.  But, I forgot to take a picture of them before she left for work with them this morning. UGH. So I will just add a pic of a set that I made for my great niece Madi.  Also I made a softie for my other great niece Kaylin.

Both of them came out rather cute! Im happy with them and I think both the girls are too!

I also got an order for a cake topper.  I can't wait to get started on that!
Till next time.............

Curtain Charms

These came about because I love to decorate for Christmas and at the end of the holiday the house always looked so.... well.... blah. So I left up one of my bead garlands and now I hang different ornaments up on it all year long. The trait of hanging garland and ornaments actually came from my childhood as it was something (and still is) that my mom does every year. Enjoy!

Babies!

My baby ornaments are so sweet. They can be personalized too.
